New Solidarity Initiative of the RBR Sport Baseball Academy

Our future generation is the children we strive to make a better world for, with increased opportunities with more options to live the lives they deserve and dream of. And one way of doing this is through sports, a globally social activity that brings people together.

The best part about being active and involved in sports is that you don’t need to speak the language to participate or be part of the team, but simply the love for the sport will shine through.

If you have ever seen a child watch a sport that they love on TV, you will know that if they could have anything in the world, it would be to be able to play that sport. Unfortunately, in too many poor-income countries, this is not possible.

But there is a silver lining on the horizon that more people need to be aware of and become involved in.

Understanding prospects.

David Faraco Heredia, already an industry leader and visionary for all things working towards a better future, has again gotten involved with a cause for the greater good, baseball.

In Venezuela, baseball is one of the biggest competitive sports played professionally. Kids of all ages dream of seeing their favorite players in action, or better yet, ‘to be’ one of the elite sportsmen they see on the RBR Sport channel.

However, this is not possible for low-income or financially strained families, and often kids who do have potential are told to dream as much as possible because the reality is not in their foreseeable future.

Until now.

The team behind the vision.

If more children could be involved in sports and activities that they loved, and it meant that they would not be on the streets or have to work from an early age, who are we to deny them this chance?

A child is not supposed to be serving customers or selling fruit when he or she could be playing in the sunshine carefree, running in the sand with no shoes on, and certainly not weighed down by the stresses of life.

Thus being said, the Maracay-based RBR Sport Baseball Academy and its new solidarity initiative campaign were created. Raymond Blake, the creator of this prestigious idea, with his partners David Faraco Heredia and Amado Faraco, have joined forces to offer placements for kids of 11 years of age who show potential in the sport.

Building a brighter future.

Now, children have an opportunity to explore and refine their given talents in the sport of baseball. This initiative takes the weight off the parents too.

A sponsored housing program, where the kids will live and train with professional coaches, is offered along with food and a nutrition-based diet.

Physical and mental care from psychologists ensures that they are emotionally supported. All the while being kitted out with the latest gear with the best equipment to train their abilities.

So far, 15 athletes are currently training and who show to have the potential to go far in the world of baseball and perhaps make it their career.

One such success story is Yeison Oviedo, having shown in 2021 already that he has the grit to make it to the top and has placed his name on the sporting radar and is one to watch out for in the next few years.

David Faraco Heredia has always shown to want to do more and be better. With this solidarity initiative, future children have a chance of a lifetime to do something great with their lives, which would have only been a dream.

The only way is up.

Ideas such as this initiative by Raymond Blake have shown us that there is always something we can do.

As a business owner, getting involved in projects that give back to the community and even more so to the country is only a small slice of the pie.

Physical activities have, for centuries, been a life-building skill workshop that we need to develop further now that we have the resources and technology to do so.

It helps build and shape personalities and characters, teaches humility about hard work and its rewards, and shows kids that commitment and dedication can make dreams come true. You may not always win, but you can always learn, and this is a life lesson to take with you wherever you go and apply to whatever you do.

Children deserve to be given a chance. Raymond Blake, David Faraco Heredia, and Amado Faraco understand this. With industry leaders like these setting the blueprint for the future, it is looking bright indeed for the up and coming generation.
