Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson Are Now Flirting Solely in Emoji

Ariana Grande and SNL‘s Pete Davidson only very recently started casually dating, multiple outlets reported earlier this week. Today, they flirted in the other’s Instagram comments for the first time, using only emojis to communicate:

But their first public appearance together was way back in 2016 when Grande hosted SNL—and their Instagram history goes further back than this month, too.

Davidson, to start, only has 35 posts on his account. Grande liked his first one, shared December 15, 2017:

But the Grande likes really started picking up steam April 26 (a hint on the timeline of when things started?). She liked his shot that day and his Mother’s Day ‘gram on May 13:

Now the liking is more steady: she liked both of Davidson’s Instagrams posted today and left a comment on the latest one.

Davidson, on the other hand, has very suddenly started liking Grande’s ‘grams May 13. He liked her Mother’s Day shot then:

He has liked all three of her most recent Instagrams, posted May 22, 23, and 24. The one today he commented on, too. Some couples keep a low profile when they’re reported to be dating to try to throw the public off; Davidson and Grande are leaning in hard on the most public of platforms.
