Beyoncé and Jay Z Took Over the Goddamn Louvre for the Music Video for ‘Apes**t’

Surprise! Beyoncé and Jay Z, aka The Carters, just dropped their first-ever joint album, Everything Is Love.

The couple, currently on their On the Run II tour, made the announcement on stage at their London stop. They not only debuted a nine-track effort, but also a new music video for “Apeshit.” In it, the couple and their all-Black cast of dancers take over the Louvre in Paris because, OF COURSE they can do that.

Reminder: they shut it down once before in 2014 just for a visit.

This time, the couple posed before iconic pieces like the Mona Lisa, Nike von Samothrake, and the Great Sphinx of Tanis.

Aside from one iconic dance break, most of the video is the couple engaging in some PDA while serving looks.

According to a press release, the couple shot it in May. Ricky Saiz directed. How they pulled that off, especially since there are some shots outside of the Louvre against I.M. Pei’s famous pyramid, is mind boggling. Then again, after the surprise drops of Beyoncé and Lemonade—we should expect nothing less.
