Alexandra has a great idea to get the look of a throwback craft called Parchment Craft. It used parchment paper for white drawing, piercing and embossing with a stylus tool. She used a stamp as her pattern on heavy vellum paper, still using the stylus for dry embossing and added color with watercolors. Visit Hedgehog Hollow for her video tutorial.
