6 Fun Valentine’s Day Ideas for the Family

As the major Holidays come to a close, the safe road trips are coming to a halt. You and your family are starting to settle back into your normal routine. You may not have realized that Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. Don’t worry! We are here to give you a few ideas of how to celebrate that beautiful day of love with your family.

1. Send valentines to loved ones

With everything that is happening in the world lately, you may not see all of your family for Valentine’s Day. If that is the case, we suggest sending valentines to your loved ones! They will love getting them in the mail! It will give them the warm fuzzies, and your family will feel good knowing you have expressed your love for your people. So get out the paper, markers, and glitter glue, and get to making those beautiful valentines with your valentines.

3. Paint a canvas

You and the family may have done paint by numbers before, but you most likely haven’t painted one of yourselves. Paint by Number allows you to upload your custom image, and they send you the printed canvas with your personalized photo on it and all the paint to make your masterpiece. Assign each member of your family a number/color, and let the fun and painting begin! It will be amazing to work as a team to accomplish this one, and it can also be done in multiple sittings. That will extend the joy it brings!

4. Family movie night

You can watch a movie on your TV any night, so why not make Valentine’s Day a little more special and watch a movie outside on a projector. You can decorate the backyard like a drive-in and teach your kiddos about what those were. You can even pick one of their favorite movies. They will be ecstatic; it will be hard for them to sit still! Plus, this is one you will enjoy, too. And once you have the projector, you can use it for video games, more movie nights, hand puppets, art projects, and so much more!

 5. Picnic lunch

A picnic is a fun and safe way for you to spend time with your family and also to get out of the house. If you want to make it more memorable, make sure you bust out your outdoor dining utensils. This will make it feel like more of an event! United by Blue has all the reusable dining options. That way, you aren’t using any disposable products, and you are dining in style. You can make memories with your family and help to save the planet at the same time!

6. Creative charcuterie boards

There is the classic charcuterie board spread of meats and cheeses, but why not make one specific to your family with all their favorite treats?! There are templates of classic cheese boards, so use one of those but add your favorites in there. Cookies, crisps, candies, fruit, gummies, etc. Since it is a celebration, make sure you pick all the good stuff!

We hope that you have a good time making loving memories with your family no matter what you choose. Happy Valentine’s Day!
